Hough
Street/ Route 59 Paving Project – This is an Illinois
Department of Transportation (IDOT) repaving project that started last week and
includes the repaving of Hough Street/ Route 59 from just north of Main Street
to Route 22. It has a 45 working day contract deadline starting from May
1st. The contractor has begun the removal of the first layer
of asphalt starting at Route 22 and heading south which is creating significant

Road
& Utility Program – The 2010 Road and Utility Project is out
to bid and the bids are due back to the Village Clerk at 10 am, Monday, May 17th.

Route
59 and Dundee Avenue Water Main Projects (Pirtano
Construction) – The contractor has completed the work on
Hough Street north of Route 14 and along Dundee Avenue from Sturtz
Street to Monument Avenue and will be working on the final connections and
cleanup on Dundee Avenue. For any questions for this job please call Gary

AT&T
VRAD Installation – AT&T is currently installing VRAD utility
boxes for the Project Lightspeed/ U-Verse.
While the Village of Barrington retains control of the Village’s right of ways,
AT&T is allowed to install the utility boxes as part of the statewide
franchise agreements for telecommunications. They have applied for Right
of Way Utility Permits and the boxes will be landscaped after they are
installed.
Dundee
Avenue Paving Project – This project is expected to start May 3rd
and includes the repaving of Dundee Avenue from Main Street to Route 59.
The funding was granted to the Village as part of the ARRA Stimulus Package and
will be administered by the Village. It has a 20 working day contract
deadline.
Lake
Cook Road Paving Project (Barrington Hills) – This
paving project is expected to start May 3rd. It includes the
repaving of Lake Cook Road west of the Village of Barrington from west of Hart
Road (near Old Hart Road) to the McHenry County line. For questions

Ela Road Paving Project – This
project includes the repaving of Ela Road from Lake
Cook Road to Long Grove Road and will be administered by the Lake County
Department of Transportation. LCDOT has stated that they will not start
this project until the Hough Street/ Route 59 repaving project is
completed. We will continue to provide updates as the project gets
closer.
